Applied Organizational Conflict Resolution

Advanced Workplace, Leadership, and Institutional Practice

This advanced twenty-lesson course prepares students to assess and address conflict within businesses, government agencies, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, professional practices, and other structured workplaces. Students examine conflict as both a human and institutional problem. The course integrates difficult conversations, leadership responsibilities, human-resources processes, team facilitation, workplace mediation, organizational justice, change management, grievance systems, and long-term conflict prevention.

Audience

Managers, supervisors, human-resources professionals, organizational consultants, labor-relations personnel, mediators, trainers, administrators, compliance personnel, and leaders responsible for workplace climate or institutional performance.

Students respond to a simulated organization experiencing departmental rivalry, leadership distrust, employee complaints, turnover, communication failures, and resistance to change. They must distinguish matters suitable for mediation from those requiring investigation, discipline, policy review, or external professional referral.
